Back again at one of our new favorite spots, this time joined by bass player Lee Wolf, and our multi-talented intern from the Eastman School of Music, and excellent pianist, Misha Studenkov. Appearing long with our beloved Henry Smith, this is sure to be a New Kind of Old experience for us all! Hope to see you there :)

The 3rd concoction in our Music Alchemy Series at the Rochester Music Hall of Fame Space on Gibbs Street promises to once again deliver an evening of diverse musical styles and great entertainent. This time we are honored and exited to announce that recent Eastman grad Weverton Santos, horn player and countertenor, will be performing Brazilian music as an opener. There will undoubtedly be a few other ingredients to the evening - and we hope you are one of them!

Tickets are $15 - available on our website, or at the door. Space is limited, so if you want to guarantee a seat, we recommend you purchase them in advance!

A New Kind of Old strikes again! And a birthday, in my humble opinion is all about gratitude - for those who have been with you (i.e. help you survive) on this journey so far, and continue to stand by. Come celebrate, jam, and mingle, chat, and generally have a jolly good time with us. Jam from 5:00 - 7:30 ish, then we'll head upstairs for food and more fun. Hope to see all you lovely people there, even if you just stop by.

This will be the second show in our Musical Alchemy Series @ Rochester Music Hall of Fame, and will also be a nice teaser for the AWESOME show that will be the Rochester Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, coming up the following Sunday, May 5th.

And what a special night we have in store! Featuring the incredible musician and Hall of Fame board member Jimmy Richmond on sax, Geneva-based trumpet player and long-time educator, Nick Moses, and retired university professor, professional oboe/english hornist, and outstanding father, Ken Futterer on bari sax (+). We will once again be fielding our extraordinary, band of musicians (and occasional comic relief): Henry Smith (violin); Mark Terranova (bass); and Eric Metzgar, drums.

In the Musical Alchemy series, Erin & Ross are teaming up with the Rochester Music Hall of Fame to explore, collaborate with, and bring together the Greater Rochester Music & Arts Community at the RMHoF space on Gibbs Street, across from the Eastman School of Music. As we move forward with this project, we will be reaching out and seeking interest and participation from musicians and artists of all Rochester's many nuanced communities, and bring them together in collaborative, creative and educational ways. We hope you will spread the word about this project, and share your ideas with us!
